ABOUT US

The Brothers of St. Joseph is a religious Congregation of Men in the Catholic Church based in Mweiga in Nyeri County- Kenya, under the Archdiocese of Nyeri. Our Mission is Evangelization and implementing various Community integral development and relief programs targeting the most vulnerable communities.

OUR ACTIVITIES

Our activities are intended to foster behavior
change and minimize risk on HIV/AIDS geared to good Health and holistic development through:-

- Trainings on health issues, leadership, good Governance etc to local community.

- Home Based Care psychosocial care and support to all clients

- HTC (HIV Testing and Counseling) services to general public. 

- Treatment- provision of ARVS and outpatients service.

- Care and support for Orphans and vulnerable children OVC (Orphan and Vulnerable Children).

- To initiate Income Generating Activities –sustainability and increase household income to all beneficiaries and local community.

Vision

The vision of St. Joseph CBO is ‘a highly sustainable and empowered community free from the ravages of HIV/AIDS, a community that embraces HOPE, CARE & SUPPORT to people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.’

Mission

‘To be a flagship and instrumental as a truly responsive community-based group in the provision of services that give hope, care and support to HIV/AIDS infected, orphans, affected and most vulnerable groups in the community’.

Objective

Our main objective is to prevent new HIV infection among the most vulnerable people in the Community.
To provide Hope, Care and Support to PLWHIV, OVCs, vulnerable young mothers and to empower the vulnerable people in the community.
